STEP-BY-STEP Instructions to EASILY Sub Out Canned Beans in Recipes
Beans are a staple on my clean eating meal plan and were also my last holdback. It’s so easy to pop a can of beans. How bad are they, really? They are definitely not the worst of the canned food line-up, but cooking your own in a slow cooker is really quite easy. Invest in some stackable meal prep containers, and you can freeze them in individual servings. You can then store them in the refrigerator for up to 5 days and in freezer (in their liquid) for longer.
Here is the info on how to cook beans from scratch.
Note - these instructions do NOT apply to red kidney beans, which contain toxins and require special prep.
